OUR CURRENT EVENTS

Live-Jazz every Thursday

We love events.

We love when the restaurant, the hotel, the building and our whole neighborhood comes alive.

We always come up with something new for you.
At the moment we offer you live music every Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. – our weekly «Soul Night» with live bands that are always changing.

We have already been the venue for vernissages and world premiere aperitifs and most recently we were a partner company at the Zurich Film Festival.

We have set ourselves the goal of helping to shape the cultural scene in Zurich and supporting it wherever we can. We are working on an event calendar for you for the coming year and look forward to celebrating with you at Max&Otto soon.

What is currently going on in Zurich?

Christmas markets in Zurich

The oldest Christmas market in Zurich is located at the "Niederdörfli" - the heart of Zurich. Between the "Central" and the "Grossmünster", numerous stalls invite you to take a stroll through the old town.
Our tip: The "Fondue Alp" is located in front of the "Grossmünster" and invites you to delicious cheese specialties.

It opens on 24.11 and can be visited until 23.12.

__________

The "Zurich Christmas Village", right next to the Bellevue enchants its visitors during the Christmas season. It is located just  30 seconds away from our hotel.

The "Christmas village" opens again from 24.11 and offers around 100 market stalls. The Christmas market is open daily until 23.12.

A little hint: on the whole area you pay cashless - so only with cards.

__________

The main hall of the Zurich main station is transformed from 24.11 into one of the largest covered Christmas markets in Europe.

The highlight; the over 10 meter high Christmas tree, which is decorated with thousands and thousands of sparkling crystals.

"Sächsilüüte – Sechseläuten"

17th April 2023

A centuries-old tradition that is still recognized and celebrated by thousands of people today. The "Sechseläuten" is the highlight of spring and is an eye-catcher for young and old.

Besides the historically costumed guild members and music bands, you will find a large amount of beautifully dressed horses, flowers, flags and of course the famous "Böögg" - which is the main attraction of the festival.

The Böögg is a 3.40 meter tall snowman filled with wood wool and firecrackers, standing on a 10 meter high pyre. This snowman figure, which symbolizes winter, now serves as a weatherman. The faster the firecracker-filled head explodes and the figure burns down, the nicer the upcoming summer should be.

So - do not miss the drive out of winter and get ready for summer!
