Open Day at the Kunsthaus Zürich

On Sunday, September 13, 2026, the Kunsthaus Zürich opens its doors to everyone. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can discover the Kunsthaus with free admission and enjoy a varied program.

At the open day, there is plenty to discover: take a look behind the scenes, get to know the people who work at the Kunsthaus, and experience the collection and exhibitions from new perspectives.

The program includes guided tours of the collection and exhibitions, exclusive insights into restoration, the library, provenance research, and art handling, as well as personal conversations with the director, curators, and other responsible staff.

Families will also find plenty to enjoy. Theater, an open studio, and digital experiments invite children and adults to participate and try things out. Those who prefer to explore at their own pace can devote themselves to “Slow Looking” or watch the documentary film “Through the Gates of Hell into Paradise.”
